Weekly Weigh-In

Last Week - 162.6
This Week - 159.8

Total loss this week - 2.8 lbs!!

I am pretty excited about this week's wiegh-in because i broke the 16o mark!! This is exciting news. This week I was able to work out and I was able to stick pretty closely to my diet! So let's see what next week has in store!!

Total lost since April 1 - 4.6 lbs.

A Good Day- Monday

Because of my dissapointing weigh-in yesterday- I decided I needed to step it up a bit. So thats what I did!!

Last night, Lindsey and I moved the treadmill to the AC room and this morning I actually used it!! Yay for me. It is embarassing and pathetic to realize how out of shape I was today, but there was this amazing satisfaction that came from working out! I even worked on my arms and my abs (remember I am trying to look GOOD in the two piece for Bali).

I also behaved today on my diet. This is what I ate today.... some dal (lentils) and some pumpkin. Then for dinner I ate some chicken and some cheese. I had lots of water today and some iced tea with sweet n' low. So today was a good start.

Tonight I am soaking beans to make Taco Soup! This is such a great meal because all of its on my diet!! Wahoo.

Well it looks like I am back where I was. I honestly didn't do anything except for one day this week. So I guess that is what I get.

On a positive note- the treadmill is officially in my room as of 10 minutes ago and I plan to add excercise in this week. Secondly- one bad week won't get me down...I have $300 to win!! Watch out ladies. I am working on planning my meals out for this week so that I do a better job!!

I am work in progress!! Please pray for me this week that I will stay focused.

Total weight since April 1st- 2.6 lbs

My weight loss this week surprised me a little bit! I honestly didn't do anything this week to try to loose it...so I am thankful!! It must be all your prayers.

This next week should be a great diet week. Lindsey and I are planning on starting up the South Beach Diet...so for the next two weeks- no sugar, no carbs, no fruit. This should really help jump start things for real. We also won't be having any more visitors and my schedule will go back to normal which leads to a healthy diet regiment!

My treadmill is not buried anymore. My plan is to move it into my room this week (for the purpose of the AC) and actually start using it. We will see!

Personal Encouragment


There is this great feeling to put on an outfit and realize that it fits so much better than it ever did before! I experienced this yesterday! I actually felt really cute and attractive yesterday in my short khurta. I love that when you just begin to take care of yourself how it gives you the ability to feel confident...even with that little extra junk!


So here is a picture of me with my roomies and Kim yesterday. Can I also say that Lindsey's sister gave me a haircut when she was here and left some Paul Mitchell volume spray! Lindsey's sister totally changed my hair! Thanks Lori! So take notice that my hair was actually fixed in this picture!! Because of the Delhi heat...it didn't stay like for this for too long, but it was nice while it lasted.

Slacker

So this week, I have a great chance of gaining back that 1.8 lbs that I lost last week. I have 15 guests from America in and out of my house. We have been ordering out like crazy and I haven't been working at all towards restraining...sigh.

I have also had lots of Dr. Pepper and several cokes. I don't even know how many cokes i have to record...so yeah...slacker....

Next week, I am looking forward to routine and getting back on the diet band wagon. Let's see how Sunday's wiegh in goes....

Yay! This is a good healthy start to the Skinny Minnie Competetion. I feel like a lot of grace was granted to have lost this week among all the American food, guests, and craziness of being out of a routine! Please Keep Praying for me this week to be HEALTHY!!

Food From America

Thanks so much for all of you sweet encouragement!! You are all great! Keep it up because I know I am going to need it.

This week has been a little challenging food-wise because my roomie's parents came to visit. And when people from America come- they bring lots and lots of yummy (might I emphasize NON-diet) food. I am managing however. I am concentrating right now on less carbs, no sodas, and small portions.

I need to start incorporating exercise into my health regiment but right now the treadmill is covered with lots and lots of shopping bags!! (good excuse huh?) Lindsey, her mom, and sister have been shopping like MAD women!! It is kind of crazy. So yea...that is my excuse for this week.

I had a little bit of coke yesterday. Mona had us over for dinner and for some reason, I couldn't resist. Maybe because it was a smaller glass (that's how i justified it). So I will have to change my zero to one. bummer.

My Personal Weight loss goal

I am going to do something brave.... Yes, I am actually going to post my wieght. It is my way of keeping things real and it's a good accountability for me. So here is my personal goal for the next three months.

April 1- I weighed myself in the morning and I wieghed 164 lbs

My goal is to loose 14lbs. This is about 1lb a week!! So I hope to be down to 150 which is actually smaller than I was when I left America putting me at a comfortable size 10.

The 2007 Skinny Minnie Competition

There are several women in my city that have talked a lot about wanting to loose weight this spring. So we decided that we should work towards finding a way to encourage and motivate each other. So we came up with the 2007 Skinny Minnie Competition!! Here's how it rolls....

  • There are 5 of us in the competition that are all putting in 2,000 rupees ($50 USD).
  • We all make a personal goal for ourselves
  • It started April 1 and will go till July 1 (13 weeks)
  • Those who reach their own personal goal will get a chance at winnning the money. If one person wins than you get the full $250. But if there are several people who meet their own goals, then you split the $250!!

So I am hoping to win a little extra cash or get my $50 back!! You can keep looking back at this website to see how my weight loss is going...
